Rovum Litepaper
The settlement layer for on-chain markets
Version 1.0 · 2026
The short version. Rovum is live on public testnet, with mainnet targeted for Q3 2026. Figures are design targets and testnet observations. ROV is a utility token. Nothing here is financial advice or an offer of securities. For the full architecture, security model, token math, and risk factors, read the complete whitepaper.
What is Rovum?
Rovum lets you trade any asset for any other (ETH for tokenized gold, BTC for Apple, USDC for the S&P 500) in a single, non-custodial, on-chain transaction, routed automatically to the best execution across dozens of venues and multiple chains, and settled atomically in seconds.
It is not an exchange that takes custody, and not a single liquidity pool. It is a settlement primitive: you sign what you want, a competitive network of solvers finds the best way to deliver it, and a minimal contract settles the result against your own wallet. The asset is in your wallet seconds after you confirm, or the trade does not happen at all.
The problem it solves
Cross-asset trading runs into three walls:
- Walled-off markets. Crypto and real-world assets live in separate systems; moving between them means off-ramping, waiting, and re-onboarding.
- Borrowed custody. The venues that offer real-world assets take custody, settle on their own terms, and concentrate counterparty risk.
- Fragmented liquidity. The same asset trades across many pools on many chains, none deep enough alone to fill size at a fair price.
Rovum removes all three: one settlement layer for every market, best execution by default, and your keys never leave your wallet.
How it works
- You sign an intent. A signed message ("swap 2.5 ETH for gold, receive at least 2.10 oz") with a scoped allowance. No deposit, no custody transfer.
- The routing engine quotes it against the whole market in real time, building a graph across 47 venues and 6 chains, splitting the order where that helps, and finding the cheapest path.
- Bonded solvers compete to fill the intent at or above your limit, sourcing liquidity and minting or redeeming real-world assets behind the scenes. Positive slippage goes to you, not the solver.
- A minimal contract settles atomically in about 1.4 seconds on a fast-finality chain. It completes in full, or reverts and you keep your original asset.
What you can trade
Crypto (ETH, BTC, SOL), tokenized equities (Apple, Tesla), indices (the S&P 500), and commodities (gold), all held together in one balance. Real-world assets are issued by regulated tokenization providers (Ondo, Backed, Matrixdock), backed and redeemable; Rovum routes and settles them, it does not issue securities or take custody.
The capabilities
| Capability | What it means |
|---|---|
| Cross-asset swaps | Any asset to any other in one on-chain transaction |
| AI routing engine | Best execution across 47 venues and 6 chains, typically 1–3% better than direct |
| Instant settlement | Atomic, on-chain, ~1.4s typical, no T+2 or clearing house |
| Real-world assets | Tokenized equities, indices, and commodities, backed and redeemable |
| Non-custodial | Assets never leave your wallet until you sign |
| Multi-chain liquidity | Aggregated across 6 chains so size does not move the price |
| Fiat on / off-ramp | Card in and out, instantly |
| Build on Rovum | The whole engine in one SDK for any app to integrate |
The ROV token
ROV is the protocol's utility token. It coordinates the network and accrues a share of its economics:
- Pay fees in ROV for a rebate of up to 25%.
- Stake ROV for routing priority and a share of protocol fees; staked ROV also bonds the solvers that secure the network.
- Govern the protocol: listings, fee parameters, and the treasury.
- Buybacks: a share of protocol fees buys ROV on the open market, so value tracks usage.
Supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 ROV with no inflation. Rewards come from real fees and pre-allocated buckets, never from minting new supply.
Tokenomics
| Allocation | Share | Tokens |
|---|---|---|
| Presale | 30% | 300,000,000 |
| Community & ecosystem | 30% | 300,000,000 |
| Treasury | 14% | 140,000,000 |
| Team (vested) | 12% | 120,000,000 |
| Liquidity | 10% | 100,000,000 |
| Advisors | 4% | 40,000,000 |
The presale distributes the public 30% allocation across 20 stages with a rising price, from $0.02 to a $0.075 launch (a 275% step), with a $5,000,000 hard cap. ROV is distributed at the Token Generation Event after the presale closes, only at invest.rovum.net.
Roadmap
